Fatburger coming to Abbotsford’s Highstreet

One of Canada's fastest growing burger chains is opening at the end of the month.

Fatburger, one of Canada’s fastest-growing burger chains, will be firing up the grill in late September at the new Highstreet Shopping Centre, located  by the Mt. Lehman interchange in Abbotsford.

“With roots dating back to urban Los Angeles in the 1950s, Fatburger is a perfect match for Highstreet’s slogan Urban lifestyle shopping in the suburbs,” said Frank Di Benedetto, the Fatburger franchisor for Canada, and CEO of Frankie’s Burger Enterprises and the Ricky’s All Day Grill chain.

The new Fatburger will occupy a prime location in the centre. To accentuate the chain’s “mid-century heritage,” Fatburger’s nostalgic design features brilliant neon lighting and stainless steel fixtures that are juxtaposed with flat screen TVs and a modern music system. In keeping with Fatburger tradition, guests will order at the counter and then have their meals brought to their table

Taking a corner inside the new Fatburger is a Buffalo’s Express, which offers a wide assortment of wings and tenders tossed in a choice of 13 signature sauce creations, ranging from mild to extra spicy.

Fatburger restaurants are located in Dunsmuir, Lougheed, Langley, Lonsdale, Denman, West Broadway, White Rock, Ladner, Davie Street, Waterfront Centre and Lougheed Coquitlam.  Other B.C. Fatburger locations are in Kelowna, Prince George, Squamish and Victoria.
