Gibbons gears up for season

Gibbons Motor Toys, one of Salmon Arm’s newest businesses, is wasting no time in making sales, as they recently celebrated the first boat to leave the lot.

This is the second location for Gibbons Motor Toys, a business that has served its customers in Gibbons, Alta for the past 30 years.

Owned and operated by Tim Panasiuk, the second location aims to serve the North Okanagan with a wide range of quality aluminum-boat products.

“Basically the second location has been opened to service new customers and existing customers from Alberta,” says manager of the Salmon Arm location, Kevin Linkletter.

Offering Habercraft, Starcraft and Mercury products, Gibbons Motor Toys is a full-service centre for Mercury outboards and sterndrives.

A full parts and accessories department, managed by Paul Hughson is also available to assist customers with all their marine needs.

“We also do winterizing, but I don’t think anybody wants to think about winter right now,” jokes Linkletter.

Gibbons Motor Toys, located at 630 Ross St. (near the boat launch), is open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A grand opening will be held on June 18 and will be celebrated with in-store specials. Factory sales reps will also be on-site.

Linkletter invites everyone to stop by Gibbons Motor Toys.

“We have the best selection of aluminum boats in the Okanagan.”
