The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is adding a water-shuttle service to take cruise-ship passengers directly from Ogden Point to Victoria’s Inner Harbour.

The 40-passenger vessel, Linda Mae, will allow passengers to skip the bus ride through the downtown core and get picked up/dropped off directly on the water, reducing traffic impact on the community.

“We are committed to finding innovative and effective solutions to the challenge of transporting large volumes of cruise passengers and crew downtown, while minimizing impacts on the community,” said GVHA president Curtis Grad.

Last year, buses transported 93, 000 passengers between Ogden Point and downtown.
