Gym appeals for fundraising support

A women’s gym with 12 Lower Mainland locations – including one in South Surrey – is appealing to the community to support a month-long effort to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation.

The 30-day challenge taken on by 30-Minute Hit members wraps up Oct. 31. At the halfway point, more than $40,000 had been raised for the cause.

BC Cancer Foundation supports ovarian and breast cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency.

At 30-Minute Hit, members have been collecting pledges for completing the circuit workouts in the names of loved ones, friends and colleagues who have been affected by cancer.

In South Surrey, the gym is located at the corner of 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard.
