Jestin talks economy

Warren Jestin, chief economist at Scotia Bank, will be in Vernon to present his outlook on the Canadian economic outlook.

Warren Jestin, senior vice-president and chief economist at Scotia Bank, will be in Vernon on Monday, Jan. 22 to present his outlook on the Canadian economic outlook.

The two-hour session, titled Global Prosepcts – The Economics of Hope, starts at 11 a.m. at the Village Green Hotel (4801 27th Street), and is hosted by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

Jestin will discuss the recovering U.S. and European economies, as well as some of the new world super powers, such as China, that appear to be losing momentum.

The $25 early-bird fee (before Jan. 17) includes a luncheon buffet. Tickets for non-members is $35.
