Kelowna’s Lakeshore at Manteo popular with buyers

The Lakeshore sold seven waterfront villas in three months as Okanagan market bounces back.

Construction has now begun on Phase 1 of The Lakeshore at Manteo where seven of the available 11 villa-style homes have been sold. Averaging in price at $1.3 million each the first villas sold in the first three months.

The initial sales success of the new resort-style community occurred with a small marketing campaign aimed at the local market and Manteo Resort patrons. Homes in Phase 2 will be released later this summer.

“We knew that launching a new community next to the Manteo Waterfront Resort would generate substantial interest,” says Adrian Block, president and CEO of the Rykon Group, developers of The Lakeshore and owner of Manteo. “The sales success of this project is encouraging for Kelowna. It has impressed and boosted the confidence of the real estate community.”

The BC Real Estate Association reports that Kelowna, Okanagan’s largest city has seen a 14.5 per cent increase in residential sales in the first quarter of this year. Sales were up 26.8 percent in March across the central Okanagan.

Built on the former site of the Lakeshore Inn, a premium location on Okanagan Lake located in the Mission and South Pandosy area of Kelowna, the Lakeshore at Manteo is an exclusive enclave of 18 villa style homes. Situated in the heart of the Okanagan, Kelowna is famous for its stunning vineyard-laden hills, world-renowned wineries, and being an outdoor recreation paradise with championship golf courses, and award winning ski resorts.

The contemporary two and three bedroom villas feature waterfront views, marina access and a boat slip with every villa. Amenities include private pool complete with hot tub surrounded by rich landscaping and wide-open grass common, conversation areas and fire pit.

While its own enclave, The Lakeshore fully integrates with the resort experience offered at Manteo—a premium resort in Kelowna for the past 13 years. Home owners receive Manteo Resort privileges and access to the resort’s amenities which include three swimming pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, water slide and spray park, clubhouse, tennis court, putting green, fitness center and more.

Created in a Southwest architectural style, the villa-style homes range in size from 1615 sq. ft. to 2080 sq. ft. and come in various layouts such as 3 bed/3 bath plus den with 2-car garage, or a more intimate 2 bed/2 bath with single car garage.

Villas include dramatic 18 foot ceilings with wide planked brushed oak flooring and unobstructed lake views through strategically placed glass folding doors that will naturally extend living spaces to the outdoors onto balconies or patios for further enjoyment of the warm Okanagan summers.

Occupancy of the first homes is anticipated in early spring of 2015.

The building and development team behind The Lakeshore at Manteo is the Rykon Group. The award winning Rykon Group has been building addresses of influence for more than two decades. Locally it is the team behind Manteo Resort, Somerville Corner, Southbay Landing, Sonoma Pines, INvue and many other successful projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
