KingFisher Boats Gives Back

Raising over $20,000 in donated goods, the annual Hamper Gift Giveaway supported 27 local families this holiday season.

2018 marks the third year of KingFisher Boats Christmas Hamper Gift Giveaway program.

Thanks to business partners and annual fundraising, KingFisher’s social committee is spreading holiday spirit to 27 families with Christmas food essentials, gifts for children and family, from over $20,000 in donated goods.

“KingFisher has strong roots in our community. We are proud to give back once again. The Okanagan-Shuswap is home to our 160 employees. Thanks to their contributions, we are able to support our community in a meaningful way,” said Sarah Gregory, HR Director.

KingFisher’s social committee raises funds with events including, a silent auction, 50/50 draws with funds going to the Christmas Hamper fund. KingFisher’s business partners also play a key role in gathering the goods and families were selected through anonymous nominations by Team KingFisher and Community Futures.

“The spirit of giving is infectious; our team has so much fun nominating, wrapping and shopping. All year long we look forward to The Christmas Hamper Gift Giveaway” said Gregory.

The hampers are delivered just in time for the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 22.

KingFisher also wanted to extend a thank you to Vernon Safeway for their contributions and the sponsors who helped make this vision a reality.
