A must this winter season is the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa’s Serenity Gardens’ spectacular inaugural Serenity Gardens Winter Light Display. Thousands of dazzling lights illuminate the gardens with enchantment. Captivating highlights include towering conifers, cherry blossom trees, weeping willows, evergreens, shimmering tulips, illuminated grasses and 10ft tall Dandelions all aglow with magic.

In the spirit of the season, from December 2019 to February 2020, the Kingfisher’s impressive dazzling garden light display is free, by donation.

“The holiday season is a time to reflect on how blessed we’ve been throughout the year and a time to give back,” says owner Bill Brandes. “I wanted to create a unique memorable experience for our visitors, and bring some holiday cheer to those in need.”

Donations are going to YANA Comox Valley – a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for local families with sick children who need life-saving medical treatments and pregnant women.

Created out of his passion for business and architecture, Brandes has designed and implemented a multi-million dollar, seven-phase transformation of the Kingfisher for the past few years, and the Serenity Gardens inspired by The Butchart Gardens in Victoria are a part of that.

In the lobby, there will be festive favourites such as hot chocolate and hot apple cider, and guests are encouraged to bring along your own mug to enjoy the hot beverage offering.
