A rebranded and expanded Ladysmith Dental reopens its doors at 710 First Ave. on Jan. 9, another downtown corner revitalized.
Dr. Matthew McMillan knew when he put down roots in Ladysmith “it was clear that the heart of town lies along First Avenue.”
Over time, as the clinic outgrew its High Street location, he knew that relocating to the “Best Street in Canada” —recognition granted First Avenue in 2017 by the Canadian Institute of Planners — would be a great business decision. The new location brings greater visibility and character to the business while McMillan’s choice brings another component to downtown renewal along First.
“It is exciting for our local Ladysmith Dental team to revitalize our little corner block within our community that we’re grateful to be a part of,” McMillan noted.
By providing more space, the move allows the team to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care in comfortable surroundings with timely service. Moving down and off the hill also enables level-entry access for patients with physical limitations. There is ample on-site and street parking at the new clinic.
McMillan and team announced their plans to move last February in combination with rebranding what was formerly known as as High Street Dental. Extensive renovations took place during the fall.
He said another advantage of the new facility is that it has the capacity to grow with the community and they can expand services as needed.
The clinic welcomes new patients.
