Lake Cowichan Island Savings Credit Union gets insurance award

During an Island Savings Credit Union meeting at the Shawnigan Lake School, it was announced that the Lake Cowichan branch had made the title of Insurance Office of the Year.

During an Island Savings Credit Union meeting at the Shawnigan Lake School, it was announced that the Lake Cowichan branch had made the title of Insurance Office of the Year.

“The award was because of the teamwork in the branch,” local branch manager Michelle Lancaster said.

In addition to the Insurance Office of the Year title, employee Rosalie Stech got her 35-year pin.

At the age of 19, Stech said that she took a business course in Nanaimo, and then quickly got a job in Lake Cowichan.

“It’s been a good group to work with,” she said.

Lake Cowichan was named branch of the year in 2005.
