Lautrup rewarded

Business scholarship

A young lady from 100 Mile House, Kelsey Lautrup, was awarded a scholarship to continue her studies in the pharmacy program at the University of British Columbia.

“It’s a five-year program, says proud father, Laurie Lautrup, who owns Cariboo Supply & Marine in 100 mile.

“Kelsey is a hard worker and an excellent student. This is her fifth year in university and the second time she has received the scholarship.”

Brunswick Corporation is the parent company of Mercury Marine, says Lautrup, and they awarded 10 children of employees of its Canada marine dealerships. Each recipient receives $2,000 to assist with his or her tuition fees.

The scholarship program recognizes recipients for their academic excellence, leadership capabilities and civic involvement during the past school year.
