Recognizing that healthy and vibrant not-for-profit organizations keep communities strong, Envision Financial has partnered with Vantage Point to bring the innovative Leaders Lab program to the Fraser Valley.
Leaders Lab is a four-month training program for executives and board members looking to improve their knowledge of good practice in not-for-profit management. Ultimately, the program goal is to inspire and build leadership in the voluntary sector.
Through four full-day seminars and a string of e-courses, participants will examine the six essential functions required to build a strong foundation in not-for-profit organizations. These include board and executive roles and responsibilities, legal responsibilities, strategy and mission measurement, fund development and financial accountability. The program will also provide a forum for not-for-profit leaders to connect with others in their region and share ideas and challenges.
Vantage Point has offered Board development and not-for-profit leadership training to charitable organizations for over 67 years. The local community has long been asking Vantage Point to make this training available in the Fraser Valley. This was made possible thanks to Envision’s $35,000 investment and provision of meeting space at their regional office. “We receive constant requests from not-for-profit organizations in the Fraser Valley for enhanced access to our board and executive leadership training,” explains Annastasia Palubiski, Director of Advanced Learning at Vantage Point. “We’re fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with Envision and bring The Leaders Lab directly to the area.”
The Leaders Lab will take place between April and July at Envision’s Regional office located in Langley. This is a unique opportunity for Fraser Valley Executives to build (or refresh) their knowledge of good practice and ensure they can lead, plan and govern their organizations with excellence.
