Local businesses highlighted this weekend in Lighthouse Country

Tradeshow opens from 8.30 a.m. to noon Sunday in Qualicum Bay

You can meet local business people, learn about what they do and perhaps even win some prizes this weekend in Lighthouse Country.

The Lighthouse Country Business Association (LCBA) is holding its fourth annual member Tradeshow this Sunday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

It is taking place at the Qualicum Bay Lions Hall, 280 Lions Way, just behind the Lighthouse Community Hall.

The monthly pancake breakfast and flea market are taking place at the same time. People are encouraged to have breakfast, mingle through the flea market at the Community Hall and check out the Tradeshow up above in the Lions Hall at the same time.

People are also encouraged to meet some of  the  diverse  businesses of the LCBA, which currently has more than 130 plus members. For a list, visit the business section of the website at www.lighthousecountry.ca.

“Shop local and love where you live” are themes at the show this year, a theme started last year with artwork entries created by the students at Bowser Elementary School.

There’s also a winning puzzle piece contest. Clip the puzzle piece that’s with this story and see if you can win a prize.
