The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has an annual program for top performers, which is open to 76,000 employees internationally.
Local RBC account manager Brigitt DeAngelis, who has 31 years of experience, is in the top one per cent.
“It’s quite an honour. This award is voted on by my peers and management,” says DeAngelis.
“There are seven or eight people here with 30 years or more experience in this branch. It’s more like a family.”
DeAngelis also received this award in 2000.
She says that it is an honour to work at the Royal Bank and her co-workers are wonderful.
“This is a great accomplishment,” says RBC manager Scott Saito. “The performance is rated over sales, service, attitude and character, the whole package.”
RBC has been selected as one of Canada’s top 100 Employers for 2012. One of the reasons for the recognition is the company encourages employees to be their best with an annual week-long convention for 700 of its top performing employees and their partners aboard a luxury cruise ship.
“We are very privileged to work with Brigitt; it’s an honour to have her in our office.
“It’s just a pleasure to work with her. She deserves this award.”
DeAngelis will be going on the week-long eastern Caribbean cruise early next year.
