A group of area business owners will host a Luau car wash on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Langley and to raise support for local families, through the Think Generously Society.
The event will include face painting and a craft table for children. There will also be food, provided by Doris’ European Deli, available for purchase.
The Think Referrals Business Network (TRBN) is comprised of business owners who meet weekly in one of 13 local chapters throughout the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland.
The Murrayville Chapter, which is hosting the Luau car wash, hosts Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Langley in the non-profit seat. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Langley independently raises funds specifically for children in the Langley area.
“We try to provide fun events for Langley residents to participate in,” said Scott Waddle, owner of Precision Auto and president of TRBN’s Murrayville chapter.
“This is just one of many. We just had our annual golf tournament, we have an Oktoberfest party coming up and I’ve heard a rumour there is a go-kart race on the horizon.”
The Luau car wash will take place in the Precision Auto parking lot at 22575 Fraser Hwy. People are encouraged to stop by and donate to a great cause (suggested donation is $10) while having some family fun and grabbing a bite to eat.
