Mega show a mega success

Between 3,000 and 4,000 people attended the three-day Fourth Annual South Cariboo Mega Show, which was held April 29, 30 and May 1.

“It was great,” says show organizer Bev Lund.

“Most of the exhibitors are coming back next year. They all said that it was a wonderful show.”

The event had close to 100 exhibitors from home-based businesses, lawn, garden, home furnishing, non-profit groups, outdoor and recreation living to recreational vehicles. People were welcome to ask questions and get information from all the exhibitors, Lund explains.

“We had a great response from the public, and they certainly enjoyed all the fantastic draws held over the weekend.”

Not only did Canlan hold draws, she adds, but the individual booths also held their own draws.

Admission to the Mega Show was by a donation to the KidSport, an organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to youths aged 18 and under.

“We exceeded last year’s admission and will make the announcement of the amount at special cheque presentation to KidSport later this month.”
