It’s ice cream with a twist.
Offering customized ice cream cakes and specialized frozen treats, Cream Creations, is a new business to town that caters to a variety of dietary restrictions including allergies.
“My son has a lot of food allergies so a few years ago I started making all my own ice cream from scratch,” said owner Jennifer Sonmor. “I didn’t want to worry about him having a reaction.”
After a parade of requests from family and friends to start a business selling her creations, Sonmor decided it was time to give it a try, and so far, business is booming.
“It has been crazy busy,” she said. “It’s great.”
Everything at Cream Creations is made from scratch and designed to fit customers’ needs.
“I look at it as a way of having a lot of fun,” she said, adding there are no preservatives or artificial colours used in any of the products that include ice cream, ice cream treats, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes.
Have an idea for a new flavour? Want a cake solely made from organic ingredients? No problem.
“If you dream it, I can probably create it,” she says.
