If you love the outdoors and love winter and snow, your perfect place of employment is hiring this weekend!
Mount Washington Alpine Resort, one of Vancouver Island’s largest employers with peak winter staffing levels reaching over 700 employees, is holding its winter Job Fair this Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Currently, the mountain has hundreds of positions left to fill in various indoor and outdoor departments.
“If you’re looking for an energetic, fun work environment then Mount Washington should be on your list,” explains human resources coordinator Owen Embree. “Candidates will be able to speak directly to departmental supervisors and in some cases, receive their initial job interviews this weekend.”
Above all, Mount Washington is looking for individuals who are capable of delivering exceptional customer service. A pre-existing passion for snowsports helps, but it isn’t essential.
“Working on the mountain is the best way to discover snow. Plus it helps to be surrounded by snow-hungry skiers and boarders!” adds Embree.
Opportunities abound in various departments across the mountain. They include: Food and Beverage, Mountain Operations, Nordic Operations, Snow School and Retail Operations.
The coveted season pass, active lifestyle and fresh mountain air are all obvious perks of working for Mount Washington.
