After the first processing began earlier this month, Mt. Milligan has begun to stockpile concentrate.

As the processing runs through the start-up phase, concentrate is being produced, but not yet at full production rates.

So far, the mine reports producing around 500 tonnes of concentrate, 25 per cent of which is estimated copper and 30 grams per tonne is gold.

So far, the mill can process 1,500-2,000 tonnes per hour of ore, which will increase as the second ball mill comes on line for full production to 2,750 tonnes per hour.

The concentrate is currently being stockpiled on site and will be until transportation begins to the refinery later this year.

The mine expects to be in full commercial production in the fourth quarter.
