Community members are invited to nominate businesses that may be deserving of winning at this year’s Nanaimo Business Awards.
The awards won’t be held until the fall, but the first stage of determining winners, the nomination period, is on now and continues until June 28.
The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce puts on the awards, but nominations in the 17 categories are not limited to chamber of commerce members.
“We like to keep the circle of recognition as wide as possible, this is a point of wide community pride and it’s our honour to recognize the entire community,” said Kim Smythe, chamber of commerce CEO.
The Nanaimo Business Awards will air on Chek TV on Oct. 2.
