Nature’s Fare nets top retailer

Vernon's Nature's Fare Markets earns top retailer award from Canadian Health Food Association.

Healthy food has translated into healthy business for Nature’s Fare Markets.

The Vernon-based company recently received the Brock Elliot Memorial Award for Excellence in Retailing by the Canadian Health Food Association. Nature’s Fare is the only business to have won it four times.

Presented at the association’s Expo West last month in Vancouver, the award recognizes a retailer that exhibits superior product knowledge, innovative store concept and design, exceptional marketing and merchandising, active community involvement, and who ethically and responsibly supports the health food industry.

“This award would not be possible if it was not for our amazing staff, customers and the communities we are a part of,” said Chantelle Keith, Nature’s Fare marketing manager.

Since opening the first location in Kelowna’s Orchard Plaza in 1994 (the Vernon store opened just over a year later), Nature’s Fare now has three other Okanagan locations – Penticton, West Kelowna and Kamloops – plus a new store in Langley.
