North Okanagan Skin &Laser’s new location has the feel of a high-end metropolitan spa.
A water feature cascades down the wall next to the large reception area with modern, elegant lighting illuminating the space.
“We had really outgrown our previous space and were ready to expand. My goal was to create a beautiful and modern, state-of-the-art medi-spa where we could continue our high level of customer service and where our clients could experience their treatments in a relaxing, peaceful environment,” said Lori Anderson, owner of North Okanagan Skin &Laser. “From the comments I’ve been receiving, I think we have achieved it. There is nothing else like it in Vernon.”
They were able to double their square footage by moving their location, and because Lori and her husband, Dan Anderson, own the office building, they could design the medi-spa to Lori’s specifications.
The Andersons bought the building across from Intermezzo Restaurant and Wine Cellar three years ago and have renovated it extensively for the last eight months.
With the re-location, the couple are both working under the same roof. Dan’s business, Sterling Appraisals and Machinery, is on the west side of the building.
“Lori and I are grateful for all the tenants’ patience and understanding,” said Dan at the grand opening ceremony. “Something that Greg (Greg Wylie of R&A Engineering, who has his office in their building) said to me has stuck with me during all of this. He said ‘it is great that we are putting life back into the building.’”
North Okanagan Skin &Laser now has nine treatment rooms, a designated lash lounge (for eyelash extensions), and a pedicure station that can accommodate two people at a time.
“We love coming to work in this beautiful space everyday,” said Lori. “I want to thank my husband Dan for working all hours of the day and night, while running his own business, to make this place perfect for us.”
