Original Joe’s Restaurant and Bar provincewide has presented $7,148 to Special Olympics B.C.
OJ’s pint program, part of its Community Care Fund, provides its restaurants the opportunity to fundraise on behalf of a charity of their choice. A new beneficiary is selected every four months and 50 cents from a featured pint is donated to the cause.
For the last four months, Original Joe’s and Big Rock Grasshopper each donated 25 cents to the Community Care Fund for every Big Rock Grasshopper pint sold at OJ’s locations in B.C., including in Vernon.
“Part of being a good community partner means giving back to the areas that we serve,” said Ed Gackley, area partner for Original Joe’s.
