The Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce has postponed their annual Business Achievement Awards ceremony due to COVID-19 concerns.
The event, which is a celebration of local businesses, community and customer service, was originally set to be held on March 19.

In a release from the chamber, executive director Kim Burden said the event will be rescheduled once it’s safe to do so.
“We have made this decision as the safety and health of our members and guests is our number one priority,” he said in the press release. “All tickets will be honoured at the rescheduled event and should you wish to be fully refunded, we will honour that request.”
The chamber’s general meeting on April 9 is also likely to be postponed, the release said.
