The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce has announced that Patrick Giesbrecht was elected to the board of the BC Chamber of Commerce at its recent annual general meeting held in Nanaimo.
Giesbrecht is immediate past president of the Abbotsford chamber, having served from 2011 to 2013.
Giesbrecht will now serve a two-year term.
“Patrick’s leadership on the board of the Abbotsford chamber has been significant,” said new president Mike Welte.
“He will be a great asset to the BC chamber board and will represent the needs of Abbotsford and the entire Fraser Valley well.”
The BC chamber is the largest and most broadly based business organization in the province.
Representing more than 125 chambers of commerce and 36,000 businesses of every size, sector and region of the province, the BC chamber is considered “the voice of business in B.C.”
