White Rock's Wooden Spoon Co. among those recognized

A pair of Semiahmoo Peninsula businesses were recognized recently, after winners of Envision Financial’s 2018 Fan Choice Awards were announced.

Among the winners were White Rock’s The Wooden Spoon Co. and the Maple Ridge location of South Surrey-based Black Bond Books. The Wooden Spoon restaurant (15171 Russell Ave.) was a winner in the ‘Best Food and Drink’ category, while the Maple Ridge Black Bond Books was among the winners in the ‘Best Retail Store’ category.

“We are so pleased to be announced as a winner in the Fan Choice Awards, for yet another year in a row,” said Wooden Spoon Co. general manager Graham Racich.

“It’s inspiring for us to win an award like this because it proves that what we’re doing is being enjoyed. We want to thank our community for the recognition received of our hard work.”
