The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce is offering a seminar for local businesses on how to protect themselves.
Langley RCMP Cpl. Shannon Savinkoff, the community liaison officer for Langley City, Willowbrook and Brookswood will speak at the lunchtime seminar on March 18.
“The Chamber wants to offer support to our members and Langley businesses on all areas that affect their day-to-day business and, in Langley, unfortunately homelessness is one of those areas,” said Chamber president, Kristine Simpson.
“Cpl. Savinkoff will teach participants how to discourage loitering and camps around their business, how to handle situations involving homeless individuals on their property and what authority a business owner has when it comes to the homeless situation in Langley.”
Putting the Pieces Together: How to Protect Your Langley Business will be held in the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce boardroom (#1 5791 Glover Rd.) from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Cost to attend is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members. Participants need to bring their own lunch.
