Small business trade show will benefit Care-A-Van

Calling entrepreneurs! If you feel like a well-kept secret, here’s your chance to showcase what you do for just $30.

The Comox Valley Small Business Association (SBA) is hosting a small business tradeshow to showcase Valley entrepreneurs on May 7, 10:30-3:30 at the Courtenay Legion (upstairs). Area business owners can register for few of the remaining exhibit spaces, which includes an eight-foot table.

All registration proceeds are being donated to the Care-A-Van Society, which helps low-income residents of our island with health and dental care, among other services.

In addition to exhibits from more than 35 businesses, there will be a silent auction, a cafe for snacks, an organ donor registration booth, and a display from the society.

Each half hour, from 11 until 3 p.m., there  will be a 15- minute presentation from an exhibitor.

For entrepreneurs looking for a group that combines networking with education and events such as this, please attend an SBA meeting at no charge as a guest. If you like what you see and the people you meet, membership in the association is only $95 per year.

The SBA meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Florence Filberg Centre, Evergreen Room (lower level) at 5:30.
