Local businesses are being sought to help a summer event soar.
The Allan Brooks Nature Centre will host Raptor Weeks from July 18 to Aug. 20.
“ABNC has created new opportunities for businesses to get involved and benefit from financially supporting the centre,” said Aaron Deans, executive director.
“A huge part of our success has been from the amount of corporate support the program has generated.”
Businesses now have the option of corporate owl and hawk memberships as well as red-tail, osprey, peregrine and golden eagle sponsorships.
The return for businesses on corporate investments includes transferrable gifts of admissions, Raptor Weeks tickets and family memberships that can be used as customer rewards, for employee appreciation or as gifts for friends and family.
Corporate members can also rent facilities for staff, client or customer appreciation events and team-building activities as well as receive advanced notice on limited-access special events.

“It is a great way to support community, the health and wellness of friends and family, and to get behind the kind of regional economic development that can help sustain Allan Brooks Nature Centre and keep nature in our future,” said Deans.
Raptor Weeks is making a return after a successful inaugural season at the centre in 2016.
“More than 2,000 people experienced the thrill of an up-close encounter with the raptors during three weeks of raptor programs in 2016,” said Deans.
“It was awesome to see the raptor free-flight demonstrations and as much public support and interest in the program.”
