The new store’s opening will coincide with Small Shops Saturday. It’s located in the mall right across from La Belle Boutique, their sister store, owned and operated by Marie-Yvonne Cleaver. The store offers lingerie, bras, night gowns, Las Vegas bras and Christine Alexander accessories. They even have a men’s corner with men’s gifts, boxer shorts and shaving crème for hyper-sensitive skin. Both Marie-Yvonne and the new shop manager, Monika Grimmer, are certified bra fitters. A very unique business story. Dentist Dr. Kimberly Eek has purchased Dr. Wageman’s long-time dental practice in Rutland at 105-519 Highway 33 West (across from Dairy Queen). Kimberly graduated from the Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2009 and began practicing as an associate between Kelowna and Penticton. Her middle sister, Rebecca (Becky) Loewen is a certified dental assistant and has assisted Kimberly for the past year. She is now her CDA/receptionist in the office. The new BCAA Auto Service Centre opened last weekend at 1545 Keehn Rd. in Kelowna, with a huge 10-bay shop. The service centre offers warranty-approved service, red seal certified technicians and satisfaction guaranteed products and service. Members of the local dragon boat team, Bust’N Loose (Kelowna Breast Cancer Paddling Team) will travel to Sarasota, Florida, from Oct.24 to 26 to take part in the 2014 International Breast Cancer Paddlers’ Commission (IBCPC) Festival. With over 100 teams from around the world, the Kelowna team is comprised of 28 breast cancer survivors and their coach, who have all been training since May.
