Telus is investing $4.5 million this year to expand its wireless technology into White Rock, the company announced last week.
The funds will be put towards bringing Telus’s latest technology – including Optik TV – into more homes in the city.
The announcement is part of a $3-billion, three-year commitment by Telus to invest into B.C. communities. Since 2009, the company has invested $13 million into technology infrastructure in White Rock.
“(The) investment means people and businesses right here in White Rock will have even more access to faster Internet,” said Telus spokesperson John Leckman, in a release.
