TIM-BR Mart contest could help Winfield Arena and the food bank

Staff at the Lake Country TIM-BR Mart are taking part in a contest that could help out the Winfield Arena and a local charity.

Staff at the Lake Country TIM-BR Mart have been spending plenty of time on their computers at work these days, and the boss is even encouraging it.

That’s because they are helping to take part in a contest that could help out the Winfield Arena and a local charity.

For the past four years TIM-BR Mart has been a major sponsor of the World Junior Hockey Championship.

The company has held video contests and sent the winning team to watch the World Junior Hockey Championships, when the tournament was held in Canada.

But this year’s event is being held in Ufa, Russia, and sending a team and parents that far was going to be too much of a cost so the company designed a new contest.

Called Sharpshooter, fans can log onto the TIM-BR Mart Facebook page and enter to help the local store get as many points as possible. The winning store will receive $10,000 for improvements to a local arena and $50,000 towards a local charity.

“Our staff and customers have really taken to this game and we currently have the most points by quite a wide margin,” said store manager Keith Williams. “The more points we get the more ballots we get towards the draw and winning this great prize. To date, we are over a million points ahead of the next store, so lets keep the momentum going and win this great prize for the community of Lake Country.”

Staff member Martin said if the store does in fact win the prize, the charity of choice would be a new food bank building for the community of Lake Country.
