Two Comox Valley businesses are finalists for the Better Business Bureau of Vancouver Island 2011 Torch Awards.
Above All Cleaning in Courtenay are one of five businesses competing in the Automotive Sales and Service category, while Two Eagles Lodge (winner’s last year) in Union Bay are up against four other businesses in the Hospitality, Tourism and Event Services category.
“56 business are in the running to win a 2011 Torch Award for ethical practices in the marketplace,” said Rosalind Scott, executive director of BBB Vancouver Island. “Of the 99 businesses nominated by consumers for being fair, honest and reliable these companies really stood out from the crowd. Every nominee should be proud of themselves for their outstanding customer service and every finalist deserves to win a Torch Award. Only 12 businesses however, will receive a prestigious Torch Award.”
The awards will take place May 6 at Bear Mountain Resort in Victoria.
