Two new Trail businesses open doors

Valley Firearms opens at its new location today, and Trail Brewing is also opening their doors for the first time.

If you felt a buzz in the air around business in Greater Trail today you would be right.

Two businesses hung out the “Open” shingle in Trail on Friday, with Valley Firearms relocating to 1281 Bay Ave. (next to Sears), and Trail Brewing popping the cap on their new business at 1672 Second Ave. (across from Safeway).

Both businesses held their openings in conjunction with in-store specials to entice people into their new shops.

John Urquhart, owner of Valley Firearms, had specials on scopes and binoculars. Petri Raito and Ryan Arnaud, the owners of Trail Brewing, were promoting their Kegerators, a mini-fridge fully equipped with pouring taps and trays to catch any spills.

Each keg holds five gallons (19 litres), the equivalent of 55 bottles of beer.

Trail Brewery will be open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. For more information, visit trailbrewing.com.

You can reach Valley Firearms at 250-364-2242 or toll free at 866-785-2246.
