There’s a lot to think about when going away and one concern is always finding someone to take care of things at home.

Claudia Gohl and her daughter Ulrike started Liberty House Watch after assisting friends and neighbours, and this year they celebrate the fifth anniversary of the business.

“Our business is built on reliability and quick resolution of any situation that might arise in our customers’ homes. We have encountered leaking water pipes, false alarms, broken heaters, and many more potential home disasters. These could have amounted to large damages in the house without insurance coverage,” said Claudia.

The business has grown to include security checks of all aspects of the property, watering plants, picking up mail and newspapers, caring for small indoor pets, paying bills on the owners’ behalf, arranging for yard and pool maintenance, putting out the garbage, light snow removal, and basic grocery shopping before the owners’ return. Services are personalized to clients’ needs. A comprehensive record of inspection, including digital photos, is maintained.

Liberty House Watch serves Vernon and area for times ranging from a few days to several months
