Vernon students Loren Brunelle, Megan McGregor, Aidan Northcott, Meghan Patenaude, Dragica Saric and Craig Woods have passed the national Uniform Evaluation (UFE), which was written over three days in September.
They join the other 482 B.C. writers who have successfully completed the exam, announced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. (ICABC) and the CA School of Business (CASB).
“On behalf of the ICABC Council and CPABC, I congratulate these students for successfully passing the UFE,” said Dan Little, president of ICABC. “We welcome them to the ranks of B.C.’s professional accountants.”
In order to become designated, students must complete rigorous course work, pass the UFE, and work for 30 months in an approved training office. The UFE ensures all Canadian chartered accountants meet the same standards, which are recognized nationally and internationally.
