The Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its Business Excellence Awards Oct. 14. The evening Gala event at the Terrace Sportsplex is an annual opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations in the community and region.
“The community did a tremendous job of supporting this year’s voting process, we saw a record number of people take part,” said Loralie Thomson, president of the Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce. “The Gala was a sell out and proved to be a fun-filled evening. Definitely, one not to be missed. Congratulations to all the recipients and nominees. A big thank you to all our sponsors, including Rio Tinto. Without our sponsors this event for the community wouldn’t be possible.”
For the event Emmy’s Catering provided the fine dining experience as the audience was entertained with amazement and laughter by Kelowna illusionist and comedian Ryan Michael. Events by Leydi transformed the banquet room with the Black and White theme of the evening as Robert Pictou kept the evening on pace and entertaining as Master of Ceremonies.
