In what may serve as a reminder for other property owners who own aging trees, the school district took action on two danger trees at C.E. Barry and one at the Hope high school, just before Christmas. The trees were removed, by Skillen Tree Services, after an arborist noted their age and condition. Two recent windstorms, that brought down a couple of evergreen trees in the forest behind the school district office and tore the hood off the heating-cooling system on the roof of the high school, served as a reminder to the district to get on with the job.
