As part of their annual Christmas performances around the community, the 100 Mile House Community Band performed at the Carefree Manor on Dec. 11.
“It went very well actually. It was very well received. The audience was fairly involved and enjoyed their singing from what I could see,” said Eric Grummisch.
The band played 18 songs ranging from Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Winter Wonderland and Joy to the World to The Good King Swings.
Grummisch said the latter was an audience favourite, despite it only being an instrumental.
“It was a quickly moving piece that you could tell the audience appreciated,” he said.
They also enjoyed the chatter between songs from the band’s director, David Hopper.
Each year the band does performances at Fischer Place and Carefree Manor.
