$2,500 cash up for grabs in Langley Has Talent

With bragging rights and a $3,000 grand prize on the line, amateur entertainers are urged to get their audition forms in for Langley Has Talent, before the Feb. 18 deadline comes and goes.

The contest, which is being put on by Langley’s four Rotary Clubs, is open to most types of family-friendly acts and will culminate on April 30 with live performances by the top acts, competing for the grand prize of $2,500 in cash and additional prizes, totaling over $3,000 in value.

The semi-finals (top 30) and finals will take place in front of a panel of celebrity judges and a live audience at Christian Life Assembly on 56 Avenue.

There are no age limits, however no professional performers will be allowed to participate.

The top 100 acts selected for an audition will be charged a fee of $25 per individual, $50 per duo and $75 per group.

In addition to drawing out some great, local undiscovered talent, the Langley Has Talent contest is also intended to draw attention to the need for a dedicated performing arts centre in Langley.
