The Fraser Valley Gilbert & Sullivan Society (FVGSS) is lighting up the stage at the old Clova Cinema in Cloverdale with a nostalgic nod to the glory days of Hollywood.
A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine, running May 4-14, is a double feature filled with song and dance, comedy and heartbreak.
Act I is a revue of 1930’s Hollywood movie music with singing, dancing and trivia. Then in Act II, the Marx Brothers join in for a madcap melodrama, featuring their trademark zaniness.
The cast is comprised of Surrey actors Clive Ramroop, Paige Thomson, Brad and Chantelle Dewar, and White Rock talents Jake Hidebrand, Melissa Funnell, Breanna Branson and Chris Roberts.
