Mission’s Carly Rae Jepsen will be hitting the Broadway stage as Cinderella in February.
For 12 weeks beginning Feb. 4, Jepsen will be dancing in the glass slippers in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella in New York.
She made the announcement Sunday night on Facebook, “Sooooo… I’m ready to spill my NYC secret. I am going to be playing Cinderella on Broadway starting Feb. 4th! Dream come true.”
She will be joined by Fran Drescher, who plays Cinderella’s stepmother.
While the 28-year-old pop star earned international fame for her hit song Call Me Maybe, she grew up performing on the Clarke Theatre stage in productions of Annie, Grease and The Wiz with Heritage Park Secondary School.
