The Golden Palette Club presents Kaleidoscope of Colours Feb. 23 to April 1 in the Art Gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
Be prepared to be amazed — due to the varied backgrounds, personalities, artistic skills and endeavours of the club’s members, the show will be a kaleidoscope of images.
They chose a perfect title for their exhibit as the definition of “kaleidoscope” is: a variegated changing of patterns or scenes.
There will be some visionary, some ingenious, some fanciful, some whimsical, some unconventional, and some realism — all combined to create a fantastic exhibition of ‘happy art’.
The Golden Palette Club was started in the early 1970s by a group of seven enthusiastic artists to provide the members with a positive and encouraging environment to pursue and develop their artistic skills.
Since its inception, the club has had no shortage of artists wishing to join.
The opening reception for Kaleidoscope of Colours is Saturday, Feb. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. The show runs Feb. 23 to April 1 at the Cultural Centre. Gallery hours are Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.
