An Abbotsford band has been announced as a performer at next month’s CelticFest Vancouver.
The West Coast Fiddlers will perform in the Celtic Village on the Doolin’s Stage on March 14 during the event, which runs from March 6 to 17.
The 11th annual CelticFest Vancouver in 2015 will see concert venues, pubs, clubs and city streets come alive with the sights, sounds, and vibrant spirit of Celtic culture.
The Celtic Village fills Granville Street between Robson and Nelson with music, dance, fun and frolic, and food.
Abbotsford’s Rockland Moran will also perform during A Tribute to the Pogues on March 7 at the Imperial on Main Street.
The show celebrates The Pogues’ iconic music and will feature some of the area’s finest musicians performing many of the band’s best-known songs.
An expanded festival will include 12 days of music, dance, family fun, spectacle and discovery for folks of all ages and backgrounds.
Western Canada’s largest Celtic celebration is highlighted by the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place on March 15 and usually draws tens of thousands of spectators.
