Abbotsford concert has Beethoven theme

Calvin Dyck will be performing at Beethoven Fest, a concert set for Saturday, June 23 at Abbotsford’s Peace Lutheran Church.

Abbotsford violinist Calvin Dyck, known locally for presenting the popular Songs Strings and Steps concerts, has taken on a new challenge.

Dyck will be performing at Beethoven Fest, a concert set for Saturday, June 23 at Abbotsford’s Peace Lutheran Church.

The show starts at 7 p.m.

Along with Dyck, the concert features a variety of talented musicians.

Special guests include  Lee Duckles, cello; Manti Poon, viola; and Nikolai Maloff, piano.

Music will include a Beethoven Piano Quartet in C major, Violin Sonata Op 30, #3, Cello Variations, Two Romances Op. 40 and 50 for Violin and Orchestra and the Eyeglasses Duo for Viola and Cello.

Tickets for the show are $20.

Peace Lutheran Church is located at 2029 Ware St. in Abbotsford.
