Abbotsford’s Sweeney Singers host benefit concert on May 17

All monies taken in will go towards helping the Abbotsford VisionQuest Recovery Society.

The Sweeney Singers will perform its annual spring benefit concert for Abbotsford VisionQuest Recovery Society on May 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The show takes place at Bakerview Church, 2285 Clearbrook Rd.

For more than 20 years, the Sweeney Singers have delighted audiences with their choral singing. Excelling at a cappella music, the group displays a talent for many styles, from classical and sacred to folk, pop and jazz.

The singers have been recognized by the community for their support of charitable organizations and are winners of several awards for their choral excellence.

The concert is called In The Evening and  includes music by Handel, and popular titles including Skylark, Yesterday and Little Wheel A-Turnin.
