The Arthouse on Mill St. presents its first Agora Market, a first in their series of high-quality, curated markets, showcasing local artists and artisans.

Agora was a central spot in ancient Greek city-states. The literal meaning of the word is “gathering place” or “assembly”. The agora was the centre of athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life of the city.

The Agora Markets at The Arthouse are intended to provide an opportunity for artists and artisans to connect with their community and one another to share their creative visions.

Featured at this event are: original fine art by Anelia Art, Elaine Christie and Marko Jalava; inspiring photography by David Lee Photography, Kelly Greaves Photography and Revolution Photography; handcrafted jewelry by Carla Swope Jewels, Cerebral Creations and Harper Lee Designs; exquisite wood turnings by Entwood Turnings and one-of-a-kind soap designs from Greenpetal Soapworks.

The first Agora Market is this weekend, Saturday, March 11 (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and March 12 (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at The Arthouse on Mill St. (2-9360 Mill St.).

Admission is free.
