On Fri. Sept. 23, the Paramount Music Hall will be filled with the sounds of Johnny Cash.

Popular Johnny Cash tribute band, David James and Big River, are coming to Campbell River.

Performing for sold-out crowds during their recent tour, David James and Big River are four musicians from the West Coast of British Columbia whose main purpose is to present the recordings of Johnny Cash with the style and sound of Johnny Cash himself.

James is one of the world’s leading, most convincing tribute artists in the music business. A living prodigy to one of history’s true phenomenons, he is almost – Johnny Cash.

James and the band are doggedly dedicated to replicating the most authentic Johnny Cash tribute the world has ever seen.

“It’s not only about the voice” said James. “It’s about living and breathing the man – his posture, his mannerisms, his moves, and his quirks. I want our audiences to go home feeling like they just observed the man himself.”

“When you hear that familiar, mighty voice, those legendary, deep, dark tones, just close your eyes and dare to compare,” is written on the band’s poster.
