Kelowna’s Amnesty International group is screening a provocative film this weekend at the First United Church hall this weekend.
The film The Altruism Revolution is a documentary that challenges the idea that people are driven by ruthless self-interest.
Best-selling author and Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard leads the movement founded on the belief that a society and an economy can be structured around altruistic behaviour instead of greed, tribalism and winning at all costs.
The movie will show at 7:30 p.m on Saturday night. Admission to the film is by donation. More information: 250-769-4740.
