Internationally known pianist Frank Mills shines his musical light once again as he returns to the stage in “An Evening with Frank Mills.”
The Montreal-born pianist will be performing at the Charles Bailey Theatre on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
This will be the third show of his 13-city Western Canada tour, which began in Red Deer Monday followed by a show in Cranbrook Tuesday.
It’s like spending an evening in Frank’s living room as he shares the music, memories, humour and wisdom that come from over forty years at the piano, in the studio, on the road, and on stages around the world.
The show will include familiar Mills classics, including of course “Music Box Dancer, combined with songs Frank likes to call “After the Dancer”… popular recordings from his career that you may not have heard in a while.
On a personal level Frank will share incredible stories – from growing up in a house full of music, the struggles and the humour of breaking into the music business… and most certainly the story of one special song that almost never got released, but would eventually skyrocket his career to international fame.
Now some 40 years later Frank Mills enjoys meeting his loyal fans once again as well as next generation of fans and piano players who are just discovering his music.
“An Evening with Frank Mills”… it’s like spending time with an old friend.
